Good to know about Palawan
The province Palawan and its correspondent main island is stretching from Mindoro in the northeast down to the tip of Borneo in the southwest. It is situated between the South China Sea and the Sulu Sea.

The main island Palawan is surrounded by many other smaller islands like, for example, the Calamian Island Group which is located in the northeast of Palawan and consists of Coron Island, Busuanga Island, Culion Island, Calauit Island and several other islands. Another small island is Balabac Island which is located in the southern tip of Palawan close to Borneo or the Cuyo Islands in the Sulu Sea - just to name a few of the surrounding islands of Palawan.

In 2010, Palawan counted a population of 994,340 people. The capital of Palawan is Puerto Princesa with 222,673 inhabitants in 2010. Palawan is really a place to go to. With all its attractions and natural beauty you can easily spend a whole vacation there and still want to see more.

Divers can enjoy the amazing wrecks on Coron or do some great dives/snorkeling or boat trips in the “Bacuit Archipelago” around el Nido. Enjoy a boat ride at the Sabang Underground River, meet some giraffes on Calauit Island or do some jungle trekking. Palawan has so much to offer you won’t get bored.
