Good to know about Dumaguete
Dumaguete City is the capital of the province Negros Oriental. Dumaguete’s population is about 120,883 (2010). The majority of people living here speak English fluently but the native tongue is Cebuano.

It is a nice and lively university town and a hop off point for Siquijor or Apo Island as well as the base for many day trips within Negros.
The town itself doesn´t really have that much to offer. Just walk around, go to the market, hang out at the Rizal Boulevard, the Quezon Park or have a great massage.

You can actually visit Dumaguete all year round. But best time to visit this place is from December to May. Since Dumaguete is already part of the Climate type III which means that the seasons are not very pronounced there will be rainy days all year round.
